Thurl Ravenscroft, the man who recorded the song “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch”, was also the voice of Frosted Flakes cereal mascot Tony the Tiger.
Thurl Ravenscroft was an American voice actor and bass singer who had a thriving career supplying voices for some of the most beloved animated and commercial characters of all time. He was featured in many Disney classics such as: Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, The Brave Little Toaster and many more. You can also hear Thurl throughout the Walt Disney theme parks in various attractions like the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Enchanted Tiki Room. Whether it was a Charlie Brown classic or as Frosted Flakes mascot, Tony the Tiger, Thurl Ravenscroft has, is and will always be a key figure in our pop culture and entertainment history.
